India poised...

This is my first attempt towards writing a blog. At a time when the entire nation is happy bloggin their views and expressions by being a part of the bloggin community,I cud not hold myself bak for long either...As, I was pondering over various subs on which I possible make my first attempt at bloggin, a thought crossed my mind." What could be better than writing a blog about INDIA,that too on the eve of India's 60th yrs of independence.
Today the country can undoubtedly boast of a generation of young and talented and confident self conscious youth. We this generation or ours knows no boundaries, and feels no fear about taking on the wurld...!!! One thing the educated youth today have realised for sure is that they are totally unhappy with our politicians, the quality of politics in the country and the lack of governance as the manifest in the country's poor record in poverty eradication, law&order, social equalities and infrastructure.
India is definitely on its road to being a truly spectacular nation but this will also desperately need a group of passionate and inspiring leaders who will make sure that India achieves the long awaited dream of India being a " superpower".
We very frequently claim of a staggering growth in the GDP of the country, we also regularly hear the BSE (Bombay stock Exchange) having scaled new heights. But where is all this goin to even make the minutest change in the poor man's life...? Mumbai the financial capital of India claims to be contributing 38% of the total tax collected by the guv in a year frm the entire country. But still contrastingly to this mumbai houses the Asia's largest slum (Dharavi). Poverty is one of the most untouched topics all the politicians in India.
Tune into any news channel and you can almost 90% of the times see a breaking news reporting about a social inequality or bad law & order issue. India can make tonnes and tonnes of claims of having made giant leaps in the lifestyle of the ppl, but wat is the use if we still don't have our social justice system in place...? Wat is use if we still hear a news about a bridegroom family burning alive their daughter in law for dowry...?
Tis been 60yrs since independence but the true sense of freedom is still not achieved which are freedom from poverty, social inequalities & illiteracy. This independence there is a gr8 deal to celebrate the most notably that we have kept the democratic faith unlike many nations which slid into anarchy and dictatorship aft Independence.
This is a nation crying out for leadership in public life in entry level.A beginning needs to be made somewhere in some fashion. Lets hope we get a few potential leaders...
